The 116GX2’s innovative CON-JET™ induction system actually adjusts the mixture as the throttle is opened and closed. Mixture is leaned with the throttle body in the low rpm position for super-smooth idle performance. As the throttle is advanced, CON-JET richens the mixture to give the 116GX2 superior acceleration into the upper power range. Also part of the CON-JET system is a dual-channel intake manifold that guarantees both cylinders get the exact same fuel/air ratio from the big-barrel Walbro carb. The result is optimum power production and uniform cylinder temps flight after flight. If you’re looking for unlimited power potential for giant IMAC machines or huge scale replicas, nothing else comes close.

Evolution GX2, GT2 Ignition System Warning

It has come to our attention that some users are not aware that when using the electronic ignition if an engine is in the compression position (i.e. the piston is in the upward part of the stroke) any compressed fumes may ignite causing the propeller to turn.

To prevent this with the Evolution Gasoline GX2, GT2 Ignition System, prior to turning on power to the ignition (turn on the "Kill-Switch") one must ensure the piston is NOT ON COMPRESSION. It should be at Bottom Dead Center (BDC) whenever the ignition is turned on. Once you are sure the piston is in this position you may then start the ignition system safely.

Bottom Dead Center can be found by rotating the propeller through the compression stroke. (As you rotate the propeller you will feel it tighten, then suddenly loosen. Once the turn becomes very easy you have completed the compression stroke.)

As always it is important to use extreme care when near or with engines, fuel and propellers. Please use caution when working with these components.
